About the event
Check in from 8:30am to 9:00am with muffins and beverage, followed by Gathering and Opening Prayer.
Breakout session 1 from 9:15am to 10:15am
A1: Playing Well with Others, the dynamic of playing with various instruments, and so much more!
A2: Beginning Piano/Organ Improvisation, practical ways to enhance your playing for the Liturgy
A3: Intermediate Piano/Organ Improvisation, going a little deeper with improvisation
Followed by a brief break.
Breakout session 2 from 10:30am to 11:30am
B1: Music Repertoire and Registrations, practical choices for various parts of the Liturgy and how to select
registration and how to adapt for piano
B2: Multi-Tasking at the Keyboard, how to play, conduct, give cues and deal with interruptions while at the keyboard
B3: Organ 101 for Pianists, practical ways to feel comfortable at the organ if you are mainly a pianist
Followed by a final round table discussion and concluding prayer.
